The difference between medication and ablation is that medicine controls the abnormal heart tissues that causes arrhythmias whereas ablation destroys this tissue, and is more likely to be curative. Cardiac ablation therapy is a modern therapeutic procedure to treat cardiac arrhythmia mostly performed in hospital surgical center by an advanced trained cardiologist. Cardiologist or cardiac surgeon will insert the catheter and electrodes (therapeutic catheter) through a needle in to heart. Cardiac ablation is a procedure that is used to treat arrhythmia. Your heart contains special cells that produce electrical signals and regulate the pumping of blood. These signals travel to each chamber of the heart through specific pathways and make sure that these chambers contract and relax in a correct sequence to produce heart rhythm.
